Guidelines for the Overbrook High School Alumni Association Scholarships

2023-2024

The Overbrook High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund was created to provide career-minded individuals entering vocational, college, or university the opportunity to develop professionally, civically, and socially in their chosen vocation. The financial value of each scholarship is at least $1,000.00. To apply for these scholarships, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1.     Plan to graduate from high school at the end of the 2024 academic year

2.     Have been accepted and committed to a post-secondary institution beginning Fall 2024

3.     Have a grade point average of 2.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

4.     Complete an application and include a one-page essay which includes the following:

  • Three things that you have learned while attending Overbrook High School

  • Describe how the scholarship(s) will assist you in your educational goals and pursuits

The Overbrook High School Alumni Association Scholarship Committee will select the scholarship winners. No member of the OHSAA Scholarship Committee, or his or her immediate family, shall be eligible for scholarship assistance during his or her tenure on the Overbrook High School Alumni Association Scholarship Committee. The OHSAA Scholarship Committee retains the right to withhold scholarship grants in any year if no candidate is determined to be qualified.

Applications must be completed by April 1st, 2024.
